Study Time
I've got my NCLEX book and a cup of tea and am curled up on the couch studying. I would, however, much rather be in bed with my husband, who at this moment is enjoying a nice relaxing sleep while I am stuck studying until all hours of the night. I am studying now, because for some reason, my body has trained itself to stay up until around 1 am. Great. Most likely this occurred because of the constant late nights I endured while in school. Well I've got news for you sleep cycle, its time to get back in a normal rhythm!! I start my new job next week Monday, so I've got about 7 days to re-program my body to go to sleep at a reasonable hour and then promptly wake 7 hours later. Plus I need to study my but off for this test that I will be taking in 26 days. Good luck to me.

Amazing Blog
So, before I attempt to go to sleep I had to share with you an amazing blog on hairstyles and tutorials. Check it out! I think I'm in love :)

Can't Sleep
So last night I took some Excedrin because of a migraine I was having. I took the pill around 6 and boy did it work. It got rid of my migraine all right, but another special side-effect was that the caffeine kept me up until around 3 a.m. Great. For some reason my cat Fergus knows when I can't sleep, so the obvious reaction out of him is to pull all his usual tricks; knock his water over in the bathroom, eat my plants, play with the dried flowers I have next to my bed, etc. Loved that. Anyways, I was up until 3 last night and again can't sleep tonight. This time with no help from Excedrin Migraine. Hears hoping for sleep to come upon me.
P.S. Loved my haircut! I went to an Aveda Salon and it was amazing. Massage, wash, and cut all for 36 dollars...not to shabby for Elise!

Sookie
This is my baby, Sookie. She is one, of two cats, that we have been so lucky to have in our little home. I have had her for 5 years now and have enjoyed every minute of it. Her face in this picture is pretty much always her face. The "I am so relaxed I can't even move" face is a frequent expression from her in our house. She is my shadow, everywhere I am, she is. Sometimes to the point of a hurt tail or paw from being "a little to close". I love this little sweetie! She is our little cuddle-bug as well and simply does not allow a lap to be empty in her presence. We do have another cat, Fergus, but he is very hard to photograph because he is constantly moving. More posts about him to follow...boy do I have some stories about him!
Haircut Today
I have decided to get my haircut today! Eeeek! I have been attempting to grow it out since foolishly cutting it extremely short after my wedding. It has gotten pretty long, but I have reached that point where I hate it and can't do anything with it. I have the same hair as my mom (thin, but a lot of it) and she has the perfect style that always looks good with her (not long) so I have decided to cut it. Unlike my sister who has perfect thick, do whatever you want, hair. (She's gorgeous) So my thin hair and I are heading over to the salon. I'm a little nervous about it, because I have had horrible haircuts in the past. The kind where they finish and you just want to cry, but instead for some reason you tip them and tell them you love it? That kind. So I am hoping this one goes well. Wish me luck!

Day 1: My first blog
Hello Everyone!
This is my first time blogging so I have to admit that it may take me a while to get the flow of things. Maybe it would be best to say a little about myself? I am 22 and live with my husband and our two cats in a cute little condo that we have finally made into our home. We recently married on September 18, 2010 so our marriage is still new and always exciting. It was a big step for us to move away from our families, but we are adjusting well and could not be more pleased with the way things have turned out. I am originally from a small...and I mean small, town so moving to a bigger city was a fun, exciting, and well needed change. Don't get me wrong, I love where I grew up, but it was time to make a change and start a life in a new place. So here we are, newly married and living on our own in a new city. Glad you will be joining me on this ride!
